What is the ETS TOEFL Exam?

The ETS TOEFL exam evaluates English proficiency for non-native speakers, assessing Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. Accepted in over 150 countries, including the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Note: Paper-based TOEFL-iBT is not offered in Nepal.

Introduced in 1964, the TOEFL evolved with the 2005 launch of the TOEFL iBT, offering a realistic academic assessment.

TOEFL Exam Types

• TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based Test): Preferred by 90% of test-takers, includes Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing via computer.
• TOEFL PBT (Paper-Based Test): Not available in Nepal. Offered in areas with limited internet, with a separate essay section.

TOEFL Registration in Nepal

Nepali students can register via:

1. ETS Account: Create an account, use ID name, select test date/location.
2. Mail: Download form, submit with payment 4 weeks prior.
3. Phone: Contact Regional Center, pay by card, register 7 days prior.
